SPARKLING CLEAN LAUNDRY - MADE EASY!

SPARKLING CLEAN LAUNDRY - MADE EASY!

When you buy new towels and bathrobes, you want them to last as long as possible. Today we asked the clean laundry experts in Austria under the most sustainable conditions - and today answers the question of wheher fabric softeners really are necessary.

At how many degrees should I wash my towels?

Today´s detergents are able to eliminate bacteria, germs and stains at temperatures as low as 20°C to 40°C. For the sake of the environment, we therefore recommend a maximum temperature of 40°C for hygienically clean laundry.

How has washing behaviour changed?

At claro, we are constantly working hard to make our wahsing powerds even more efficient and sustainable. A low-temperature washing programme is increasingly recommended for the sake of sustainability. We are able to achieve excellent results at 30°C or even 20°C. In general, we are seeing trends such as the "no-wash" movement, which recommends airing jeans, for example, and washing them less often. We can live more sustainably if we forgo a few washes and brush off minor stains by hand. Sportswear brands are working on materials that stay fresh for longer when worn. If we wash consciously and use sustainable washing powder, we can save time and money and extend the life of our textiles.

Which detergent should I use for my coloured laundry?

For coloured laundry, we recommend the classic colour washing powder, which is gentle on the delicate colours of coloured laundry.

How much detergent should I use?

The exact quantity for the dosage can be found on the packaging of the washing powder. When using claro washing powder, we recommend a heaped tablespoon of washing powder for normal soiling and water hardness.

Is it necessary to use fabric softener?

The ingredients in fabric softeners are usually harmful to the environment and absolutely unnecessary. We recommend adding a "claro Kalkstopp-Tab" to every wash load in areas with very hard water. This also ensures that your laundry comes out of the washing machine softer. If this is still not enough, you can add a solution of citric acid or vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser and use this as an alternative fabric softener. The result? Soft and absorbent towels thanks to the power of nature.
